Worship
and Music

At Redeemer Lutheran Church, worship is about gathering together any and all people who find their way to our church. Honoring our liturgical tradition, we listen to God’s Word through scripture, preaching, prayer, and song, and we share in the sacrament of communion.

During worship at Redeemer you can hear solemn prayer and devotion, but you can also hear the laughter and cries of children, see the smiles on the faces of people young and old, and feel the hearty handshakes and embraces during the passing of the peace.

While we cannot gather together at this time, virtual worship services are available on Facebook with scripture, reflection and prayer sprinkled with music.

Music

The joy of listening to and participating in beautiful music is threaded throughout our services. Our worship is beautifully enhanced with singing, piano, organ and special occasion instrumentation.

Historically, the Christmas Cantata was the highlight of the year, the last Sunday in Advent. More recently. we have enhanced our worship with various ensembles throughout the year featuring the musical talents of children, adults and a plethora of instruments and voices.

Altar Guild

Did you know that the word nave comes from the Latin navis meaning ship? The nave is the space where the congregation gathers to worship. This word is to remind us that the church sails on the ocean of time. The alter guild is the keeper of the “ship”. Members work to maintain the sanctuary and chapel areas, order flowers, change paraments and banners and set up for communion.
