Women's Circles

Esther and Naomi Circles

It’s about friendship, support and spending time together with the Word. The Esther and Naomi Circle is a monthly gathering of women that meets September through May on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the church. Using the Lutheran women’s Gather magazine and the Bible, the study leaders are volunteers who prepare using the Leader’s Guide.

Ruth Circle

It’s a monthly gathering of women during the evening to accommodate work schedules. The Ruth Circle is about fellowship, worship, book reading, hiking, service projects and conversation punctuated with laughter, new experiences and sharing stories. Meeting time vary with everyone’s schedules. Check the calendar for updates.

Mens group

No Name Men's Group

The No Name Men’s Group is a monthly gathering to share in fellowship and story. The group meets starting around 7 pm at a local restaurant. After quorum is reached the group goes around the table discussing three topics: A good thing from the past month, a challenge from the past month and how have you seen God.

First Thursday Lunch

A light lunch of soup, bread and dessert accompany a heavy meal of fellowship the First Thursday of each month. It is a break from work or home…a chance to spend quality time with the church family.

Connection Sunday

Coffee hour between services is always lively, but once a month we shake things up with random seating and a list of seasonal questions for each to answer. It evokes conversations, allows sharing of lives and brings all generations together in prayer and fellowship.

“It helps us learn to pray as a community. Three different people at each table lead a prayer. It’s frightening to pray out loud. But I want us to grow in that.” – Fmr. Pastor Ken.

Congregational Retreat

The Congregational Retreat utilizes the wonderful facilities at Luther Heights Bible Camp and offers an opportunity for participants to worship, serve, eat, play, relax and perambulate (dance) together. The hope and guiding principle is for the Congregational Retreat to be a time of personal and family refreshment, greater connection with God in God’s creation and fellowship with the Redeemer and Grace (Horseshoe Bend) communities.
