It has been a difficult year and the pandemic has prevented us from congregating in the way we were accustomed to gathering at Redeemer. We need a renewal, a collective spirit, and a sense of our strength as a community.
So, to begin to build back, we are about to launch a profile of a church member every two weeks in our newsletter. It will be written by that church member in response to a prompt. The reply can be short or long, humorous, or serious, tongue-in-cheek, or simply informative. We ask that you include a photo with your response. The prompts will vary, and we hope you all will enjoy participating, reading about each other, and resuming our bond. So, beware that you may be receiving an email with a prompt and asking you to write a short “Playful Profile”.
Our first “Playful Profile” is from a younger member of the congregation, 6–year-old Cort Fischer, Erin & Lee Fischer’s son. Cort’s prompt was this:Explain about your mom being a “triceratops mom” and tell us your super-hero’s name and what powers you have.
And here is what Cort had to say:
Cort says, “You are my Triceratops Mom because that is your favorite dinosaur!”
When I asked Cort if he could be a Superhero, what would his superpower be? He said, “I would make anything be able to come alive!” I asked him why he would like to have that power? He said, “Because then I could make the Wild Kratts show come alive, or dinosaurs come back, or the pictures I see come alive, or anything!”
